EMANUELA MASCHERINI
Emanuela Mascherini is an actress, writer and director. In 2005, she graduated in acting from the Centro sperimentale di cinematografia di Roma and in 2012 in Digital Filmmaking from the New York Film Academy in New York. Her works as a director have been selected and awarded in national and international festivals. In 2017 and 2019, she was selected for Nastri d’argento and in 2019 she was shortlisted for the David di Donatello. In 2019, her film script WHEN I WRITE TO YOU IT’S LIKE A PRAYER was a finalist at the FIGARI FILM FESTIVAL, won the RIFF Rome Independent Film Festival and earned her a place in the residency “A Sunday in the country” organized by the European Film Award and Toscana Film Commission. Emanuela is the artistic director for CineAtelier, a festival for first and second feature films dedicated to arthouse cinema, and she collaborates with other national and international festivals. In 2022, she was selected as Artist in Residence for BerlinAiR 2022 programme funded by the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg (MBB) and the Roma Lazio Film Commission in partnership with NIPKOW Programm. She is currently in production of a new short film funded by the Italian Ministry of Culture.
