Rachel O’Flanagan

Rachel O’Flanagan is a story consultant and development executive who wants to help amplify lesser heard voices in storytelling. Her produced credits include films: PAPI CHULO; VIVA (Ireland's Best Foreign Oscar Nominee 2016); HANDSOME DEVIL; THE STAG; GOOD VIBRATIONS (Film Critic Mark Kermode's Film of the Year 2014); and television series: CAN’T COPE WON’T COPE Season 2; FINDING JOY Season 1; THE RUNNING MATE (Winner Best TV Drama IFTA 2008); RASAI NA GAILLIMHE (IFTA Winner 2010); SHOW BANDS 1 & 2; THE CLINIC and ON HOME GROUND. She is a co-writer for the TV series UNSETTLED and creator and co-writer for THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING KENNEDY. She has written the pilot for a television series WE WILL FIND YOU in development with Treasure Entertainment. Rachel has been a guest lecturer at the International Film School Köln; The Huston Film School, Galway; the National Film School (IADT); DCU School of Communications and Filmbase. She is one half of A Dramatic Improvement with her sister and colleague Mary Kate. They have designed and delivered training workshops in visual storytelling for numerous entities such as the Irish Writers Centre; Bow Street Academy for Screen Acting; Screen Training Ireland, Film Wales, Literature Wales and the Royal Theatre of Wales.
