Lila Dupree
Originally from Boston, Lila Dupree is an LA-based storyteller whose work focuses on the space where comedy and hard things meet. Her writer/director debut, BIG SUR, premiered at the 2023 Oscar-qualifying LA Shorts Film Festival and won the Jury Award at Washington West Film Festival. A former Mentee in the 2019 Women In Film Mentorship Program, she has made film and theatre from South Africa to NYC to Los Angeles. Select projects include short WALK THE LIGHT (writer/producer) which played at over 40 festivals and won several jury awards; the critically-acclaimed, hit comedy EL GRANDE CIRCUS DE COCA COLA (creator/performer/producer) which broke box office records at the Skylight Theatre in LA; and ZADIE (creator/mama) her spectacular two-year old daughter. A graduate of Columbia University, she is a veteran volunteer at the incredible children’s grief camp Experience Camps.
