Suzanne Griffin
Black List Recommended screenwriter Suzanne Griffin creates darkly romantic dramas centered in female agency and ambition, whose fierce, witty protagonists risk everything to reinvent themselves and the world around them. Suzanne’s advocacy for her learning-disabled son has further fueled her passion for stories that empower marginalized voices. Suzanne was mentored by showrunners JaNeika James and JaSheika James (GOSSIP GIRL) through Women in Film’s 2022 Mentoring Program. She’s a Stowe Story Labs/PAGE Awards Fellow, twice a Nicholl Semifinalist, a Filmarket Hub Pilot Winner, and an Austin Film Fest and CineStory Lab Finalist. She received her MFA from NYU Graduate Film, and lives in Brooklyn, NY - her frequent muse.
