Charise M. Studesville

Charise M. Studesville hustled her way into the entertainment business via an internship with Debra Martin Chase, commuting weekly between Chicago and LA. She followed with a Warner Brothers/USC directing and producing program, culminating in a 60+ international film festival tour with her film THE HANDS, winning awards along the way. Since then, Charise founded Hollywood Chick Mafia, became a USA Today bestselling author, and a Moth StorySLAM Champion. Additionally, her mixed media art was recently featured at Kente Royal Gallery in Harlem. In all of her creative work, Charise uses truth to illuminate darkness within the human experience.

THE WAVES (feature film)
THE WAVES leads us into the aftermath of a woman's (assisted) suicide, that leaves her bestie rallying to reunite their college friend group for a reverse scavenger hunt to spread her ashes around their old college campus. Each woman arrives to the weekend in the throes of a second-puberty midlife crisis, but ends up discovering the truest version of herself through the final gift of friendship in this coming-of-age dramedy.
