Maya Albanese

Maya Albanese is an award-winning writer-director known for surreal storytelling that sparks social dialogue. Her films and commercials span five continents in English, French, and Spanish, for clients including Google, Visa, Amazon, and Warner Bros. In 2023, she won "Best Director" at Paris International Film Festival and the "Director’s Prize for Artistic Vision" at FilmQuest for the short version of her fantasy-horror, THE RINGMASTER. Her fantasy-comedy, FREEZE (2020), won Best Short and Best Actress at SeriesFest and was distributed by HBO and ARGO. In 2018, she won the Commercial Directors Diversity Fellowship from the Directors Guild of America. Maya holds a Master’s from Columbia University in Documentary Film.
